Owner Jarrod, formerly of Niranker, and Chef Janak Gautam have created a diverse menu, incorporating classical Indian dishes with regional specialties. Starters include
Mulligatawny soup, a southern Indian mixed lentil soup, or the chicken pakora, a chicken fillet marinated in special spices, deep-fried and served with mint chutney. For a main course, sample dishes from the Tandoor like the mixed meat platter comprised of sheesh kebab, tandoori chicken, lamb cutlets and chicken tikka, or try one of the many vegan and vegetarian dishes, including aloo dum, a dish of sautéed potatoes in a creamy onion sauce and garnished with coriander. Finish the meal with mangu khulfi, a home made Indian style icecream or gulab jamun, a dish of sweet milk dumplings in sugar and rosewater syrup. Curry Vault is also licensed with a wine list that focuses on drops from Victoria and South Australia. Takeaway is also available with 10% off the total bill.
