Down a hidden flight of steps beneath Brookfield Place in Perth's CBD lies a subterranean Mexican cantina with serious swagger. Lupe's Cerveceria is the love child of hospitality group Sesh Mafia, inspired by the faded cantinas of Guadalajara and the underground clubs of the American Southwest. The backbar is stacked floor to ceiling with 40-plus tequilas, mezcals and raicillas, while handmade tacos come three to a plate with housemade salsas. Records run loud, lights run low, and the night runs very, very long.
