About the restaurant
Situated in the Melbourne suburb of Thornbury, Northern Git is the product of Yorkshire born chef Michael Slade (ex La Luna). The hearty menu pays homage to the English fare of Slade’s youth, meaning steak-and-kidney pie and rabbit pot-roast make proud appearances. Pull up a seat at the polished timber bar for a whisky or craft beer, or pounce on a table next to the bold black and white urban mural.
