SPRING ST GROCERY
Melbourne, VIC

La Dolce Vita at Spring Street Grocery. Stroll to the pretty end of Spring Street for a blast into Italy's past. Spring Street Grocery is a suburban alimentary reminiscent of 1950s Italy. This one-stop epicurean shop is home to a gelataria, sandwich bar, grocery area and delicatessen, with plans for further expansion. The grocer sells mostly organic and biodynamic produce while "Rolls Ready", the sandwich bar, churns out sambos with decadent fillings.

Fabulous cheese room! This little grocer and cheese room has everything for the savy gourmet. I work locally and I find myself ducking in to pick up a selection of goodies for lunches and never left short - it has everything. The cheese room is truly impressive with top notch European cheeses, it wont be long before it's discovered and coveted by the whole of Melbourne. Today I picked up quinoa/brown rice seed crackers, home made baba ghanouj, fresh organic salad ingredients and some good European dark chocolate, I shamefully left sans cheese. Next time.
