LONGRAIN MELBOURNE
Melbourne, VIC

2014 The Age Good Food Guide Awards - One Chef Hat
Top-notch Thai food that is made to share amid bustling, vibrant surroundings continues to be a winning formula for Melbourne's Longrain restaurant. The shine hasn't worn off since its eagerly anticipated arrival in 2005 – its buzzing atmosphere and relaxed informality still make it a great place to enjoy the freshness of Martin Boetz's Thai flavours.

This restaurant does not take bookings for groups smaller than 6 people.

Unpleasant service, especially to children. We have gone to long grain several times, both in Sydeny and Melbourne, and loved the food and service. We took our daughter there this evening and will never go back. One waiter acknowledged her which was lovely, but on 3 separate occasions another waiter told us to stop her doing something with an irritated tone (I.e picking up the cutlery at the setting next to us). While we understand hygiene, a polite request would have been appreciated. We ate quickly and left due to feeling so unwelcome.
