About the restaurant
Located inside the food precinct of the Abbotsford Convent is Kappaya, a Japanese soul-food café that may seem like an odd concept, but makes a lot of sense. Dishes are artfully decorated and are as therapeutic as they are filling; think unprocessed ingredients and a number of vegan, and gluten-free options. Homemade sweets and imported Japanese tea is a great end to a meal, as is the selection of local organic wine and Japanese beers and sake.
