Annie Smithers' iconic du Fermier French Farmhouse sits just over an hour's drive north of Melbourne, in Trentham. Du Fermier is French 'from the farmhouse', and this eatery does an excellent job of showcasing the produce grown on the property. Rustic French fare and generous portions can be expected, as well as homemade pastas or slow-cooked meats depending on seasonality and availability.
