PIERMONT RETREAT RESTAURANT
Launceston and North and East, TAS

Piermont Estate is located on Tasmania's east coast, three kilometres from the town of Swansea. It boasts beautiful cottage accommodation in stunning surrounds and the Piermont Retreat Restaurant which serves some of Tasmania's most acclaimed Modern Australian cuisine, against a backdrop of fabulous ocean views. To paraphrase a famous guide, it's well worth the drive. With excellent service, fantastic food and a walk-in cellar, it's a complete package.

Piermont is closed during August.

We loved our experience and meal at the restaurant. The waitress was lovely and easy to approach. There were not many there as it was mid week so this may have contributed to our wonderful service. The chef also gave us some extras to try. We'd definitely recommend a visit there.

Do not bother.. It was terrible.. Poor service, two wait staff and only four tables to look after when we were there and we still had to ask for more bread and more water. No offer to refill our wine glasses.. Trumpeter (fish) was no bigger than a matchbox and so dry it was almost inedible but as it was a special occasion we did not send it back.. Steak was OK but bland... Wait staff informed us chef was 'experimenting' with new ideas!!. Seriously this place needs to have a good look at what it is offering...Views are spectacular and d├ęcor in the restaurant is excellent however the food really lets this place down badly.
