If you would like a delicious meal in the country, you will love the new Woolshed Restaurant located at the Woolshed at Jondaryan. Enjoy country views, delicious international cuisine and the regions finest wines at their new restaurant just a 40 minute drive from Toowoomba. The restaurant lies just behind the historic shearing shed and overlooks the surrounding pasture.
The restaurant is uniquely equipped to cater for weddings, conferences and events for up to 500 guests.
The menu features flavours in celebration and recognition of the 14 different nationalities of Woolshed workers during the 1840’s. Workers and their families were hand selected and brought by ship to the Darling Downs from countries including Africa, India, France, Thailand, Italy and Greece.
The Woolshed’s Head Chef, Mr Andrew Dove said “we have been able to infuse international flavours and spices into contemporary modern day cuisine. We have sourced local produce where possible, including Jondaryan lamb, Stanthorpe cheeses, Kerwee Wagyu beef and Woolshed grown herbs. We also have a variety of gluten free and vegetarian options available.”
Menu favourites such as BBQ Greek Octopus, Caribbean Seafood Curry and Vodka Chilli Calamari are bound to be culinary favourites especially when combined with exceptional country hospitality.
