About the restaurant
Located within the Townview Motel, on the corner of Kookaburra St and Marian St Mt Isa, is the Abyssinia Cafe. Open daily, the cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to motel guests and the general public. The eclectic, quirky menu features traditional Ethiopian cuisine and a full range of traditional Australian meals, as well as Indian Food. Look for the red cottage-style building – you may even recognise it from appearances on SBS TV.
