BAHN THAI
Darwin and the North, Northern Territory

Top10 Image
Order your panang curry with a view at Bahn Thai, a beautifully located Thai family restaurant. Bahn Thai is located a short stroll away from Darwin's main wharf strip. Don't be fooled by the ordinariness restaurant's exterior; step inside and be transported to somewhere more exotic. Seafood plays a starring role on the menu, and you can get all your old-school favourite Thai dishes too.

After looking at this web site we booked and as the web page said we took a bottle of our own Rose . We walked I and we're left standing at the entrance as the chef/ owner was eating with friends and just looked us up and down! Eventually a lovely lady showed us to a table ( there was only two tables there another couple and the chef/ owner. We were told no we could not byo . That was fine even tho it is clearly on the web page but then the chef/ owner proceeded to become agitated and gave us a really unpleasant look and comments. We decided to leave as she was most unpleasant. We went back to town to " the Noodle House on Mitchell st who were extremely welcoming and very busy. Not sure about the food but the attitude and decor has seen better days !
