More info

The Noodle House Mitchell is the second restaurant in the Noodle House franchise, the former being famous as one of the best gastronomic bangs for your buck in the city. Noodle House Mitchell, despite being the younger sibling, is distinguished as simply the best Chinese restaurant in the Darwin CBD. The interior is modern and elegant, with a bright, clean and stylish dining room that is rarely empty, providing a vibrant and lively atmosphere in which to indulge. The fully licensed bar has an impressive selection of local and imported wines and a wide selection of international beers.

The menu is extensive and undoubtedly best enjoyed in a group – with so many tempting choices, you'll want to sample as many dishes as possible. Couples should start with the San Choy Bow (made especially for two), a delicious stir-fry of minced pork and spices served in lettuce leaves; while the sample platter will give you a range of tasty morsels such as chicken satay, spring rolls and mouth watering wontons. There are pork, chicken, beef, seafood and a range of noodle and vegetarian dishes available for mains, all coming in a variety of styles and variations. The Szechuan squid is the best you'll find anywhere, impossibly tender and the perfect balance of flavour and spice; while the sweet and sour chicken is a sumptuous variation on an old classic. With the Entertainment Centre literally metres from the door, why not make an evening of it and take in a show once your appetite for the Orient has been sated.

The food was great but the employees/manager could have been friendlier. I have been coming to this restaurant often since I first dined there. On my last visit which was a Saturday night, I found a huge chunk of salt in my food. I asked the manager if I could please have a replacement and he gave me one - he was quite rude and said "ok bye" when I tried to thank him. Other than that, the food was good.
