Location Details
At home in one of the most beautiful art collections in the world, Chiswick at the Gallery offers charming casual dining within the Art Gallery NSW. High culture meets agriculture with many ingredients grown in the adjacent kitchen garden, supplying a delightful seasonal menu in true expression of Matt Moran’s ‘garden to plate’ philosophy. Front of house is managed by Nicola Somerville, while the kitchen is run by Head Chef Tim Brindley. Overlooking Sydney Harbour and Woolloomooloo, magnificent views grace a contemporary dining room, casual bar with large communal table and semi-private dining enclave.

Menus
Fresh produce is at the heart of the CHISWICK at the Gallery menu, where the food continually evolves with the seasons, and the emphasis is on where the ingredients come from and how they are grown. The menu is divvied up into nibbles, small plates, mains and things to share including the signature slow-roasted Moran family lamb, sourced from the Moran family farm in the Central Tablelands. Another popular dish is the Yellowfin tuna with yuzu, apple, cucumber, Szechuan and river mint. This dish is incorporated into the collective menu available for tables of six or more. The wine list, fashioned by Matt Dunne has a strong Australian bent, with a handful of drops hailing from Europe. From fleshy and bold whites such as the Tyrrell’s ‘Moon Mountain’ Chardonnay from the Hunter Valley to juicy and succulent reds like the Rusden ‘Ripper Creek’ Cabernet Shiraz from the Barossa Valley, diners will be spoilt for choice. As Baroness Philippine de Rothschild once said "While history and wine are a wonderful pair, art and wine go hand in hand."
