About the restaurant
Sydney's post-midnight dining scene is given a spicy boost with the opening of Barrio Cellar, a subterranean collaboration between the owners of Barrio Chino and Spice Cellar. Neon lights on Elizabeth Street lead you down to the basement of the heritage Martin Place building, which has an old-world speakeasy feel. The menu is bursting with spicy Mexican street food, plus the famous Barrio Burger. Tequila and mezcal loosen the tongue and smooth tunes get you in a good mood.
