Public Dining Room's unique waterfront position on Balmoral Beach allows you to take full advantage of its stunning location, on one of Sydney's most exclusive beaches. Balmoral Beach is located on Middle Harbour in the harbourside suburb of Mosman, with views across to North Head and Manly, providing an ever changing backdrop for all occasions. Head chef Adam Tyl has created a contemporary menu, featuring fresh local ingredients while incorporating Mediterranean culinary influences. The menu reflects the changing seasons sourcing selected local boutique produce from small farmers throughout Australia.

The local fare is sourced from small farmers throughout Australia and ingredients are prepared simply to deliver clean, fresh flavours. Here, summer drinks are spent lounging along beige banquettes with sandy feet and glasses of rosé, while in the cooler months, bottles of red wine are shared by diners who watch the storms roll in from the sea. Public Dining Room fits perfectly with the Mosman's polite personality. Looking over the sparkling water at Balmoral is always good for the soul. I have never really enjoyed a meal at The Public as much as I did this last week. The place just twinkles - it looks good and it sounds good - and the food was simply delicious. The grilled scallops with sweet corn air was amazing and garnished with little crisp croutons of chorizo was an almost perfect combination of contrasting texture, colour and flavour. The daily special of grilled Barramundi fillet with perfectly crisp skin and moist tender flesh - with little droplets of citrusy gel and a garnish of pecan nuts and a a sprout puree - great cooking skills. Service has always been terrific - a good blend of experience and youth - friendly courteous and they listen to what you request. A special place with increasingly better food.
