Ormeggio at The Spit was awarded Two Chef Hats in Sydney Morning Herald's 2013 Good Food Guide and has been a 'hatted' restaurant since its first year of opening. The open-plan restaurant exudes European elegance, with clean lines, light wooden tables and elegant grey carpeting. Natural light floods through floor-to-ceiling bay windows, highlighting the gorgeous interior design and detail. The name Ormeggio means berth or mooring in Italian, reflecting the waterfront position of the restaurant. Every seat has postcard-worthy water views across The Spit waterway and Middle Harbour, making it an ideal spot to linger over a long lunch or sunset dinner.

Ireni Mavay - 3/03/2012
My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary at Ormeggio on Saturday 3/3/2011. We ordered the Degustation Menu with matching wines and can say without question we would recommend Ormeggio as an experience not to be missed. Each course was in itself a unique creation and a work of art, delicious to the eye and the palette. The table service was perfect, with every course described to the finest detail; the selection of wines complemented each course delicately and superbly adding to the flavour and texture of each mouthful. The courses were perfectly spaced out with plenty of water in between to cleanse the palette. It was a beautiful experience, a spectacular location and a taste sensation not to be missed. What we loved most in selecting the Degustation menu was the opportunity to discover choices in food and wine which we ordinarily would have missed. Surprisingly the cost of the experience was very affordable.
