About the restaurant

Ho Jiak is well known as one of the few real Malaysian Nyonya restaurants in Sydney, and it’s excellent. This two-storey Hay Street hotspot prides itself on local dishes, handed down by part-open Chef Junda Khoo’s amah (grandmother). The first floor is, in fact, styled like his amah’s house, a place full of love and laughter. For a modern Malaysian dining experience, dine among the brightly coloured window frames and striped awnings downstairs, exactly like those of Lebuh Ah Quee Street in Penang, where Chef Khoo grew up.

Lunch daily 11.30am-2.30pm and dinner daily from 5pm
