MRS SIPPY
Sydney, NSW

Double Bay isn't the usual postcode for cool bars but Mrs Sippy on Bay Street is set to change that. With a quartet of owners, all who have impressive hospitality resumes, Mrs Sippy will cover all social grounds acting as an espresso bar, cafe, restaurant and bar. The Modern Australian menu, combined with an impressive cocktail and drinks menu is certainly injecting a bit of life into sleepy Double Bay.

Geraldine - 5/03/2012
The restaurant had a no booking policy, so I showed up early on Saturday evening to secure a table for my birthday with 7 girlfriends. One hour into the eating and drinking, we were asked to move because where we were sitting was 'reserved' - when questioned, the lady said, bookings can be done if you knew the owner. She then proceeds to take our drinks and food out the door (and it was raining) to the curbside bar stools. When I protested, we were shown to a table for 4 and told no more than 5 could be seated. Totally bad experience, would not recommend.
