Like most truly successful things in life, this just evolved naturally. Owner Anthony Kaplan didn't initially plan on setting up a wine bar, initially thinking that Shop and Wine Bar would work well as a café. But after obtaining a liquor licence, Kaplan realised he was onto a winner. Today, try getting a seat at this Bondi favourite on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or even a Sunday night and you would have just about won the lottery.
