MAGPIE CAFE BERRIMA
Southern Highlands, New South Wales

Top10 Image
Located in the heart of Berrima, The Olde Magpie Café is a symbol of rustic charm and home-style cookery. With country-style ornaments and mismatched tables scattered throughout this all-day diner, diners can enjoy a comforting menu of homemade pies, risottos and soups. A sweet treat is never far away here either, with morning and afternoon tea served daily, as well as an assortment of cakes and pastries arranged at the counter.

Not many places I'll make such a detour to enjoy, but this is one. Do yourself a favour and take a romantic winters tour through the Highlands and land here for breakfast lunch or brunch. Simply perfect mains, or high teas with the deserts the highlight of any visit. Not cheap but really, REALLY worth the bit extra. The pub next door is not cheap either and totally unremarkable. Life's short, add this to your bucket list. You won't regret it!
