About the restaurant
Raku Izakaya, established in 2018, is Orange’s first modernised Japanese restaurant. Located at 129 Summer Street, it offers a contemporary dining experience with dishes inspired by traditional Japanese techniques, incorporating local Australian ingredients. The menu features share-style plates, including Wagyu beef tataki, tempura prawns, and kimchee pork bento boxes. The restaurant is fully licensed, offering a selection of cocktails, local wines, Japanese sake, and Asahi on tap. Raku Izakaya operates Monday to Saturday, with lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner in two sittings from 5:30 PM.
