About the restaurant
At the Watson shops in Canberra, Lolo and Lola is an authentic Filipino restaurant that has garnered a loyal following. From its humble beginning as a market stall to a popular food truck and now its permanent restaurant, husband-and-wife chefs Jay and Kim Prieto pride themselves on bringing traditional Filipino food to Australia. The name of the restaurant came as a way for the couple to honour Filipino lolos (grandfathers) and lolas (grandmothers) who are the keepers of Philippine cuisine. Lola and Lola does not take bookings.
