Took some Qld friends there for a meal and was thoroughly under impressed. Prices were very high for the average meal. It was nothing spectacular, taste was average (my mum does better) and we were charged $20 for the table on a Sunday. Can't believe a restaurant charges me to sit at their table and eat!How ridiculous is that, I certainly won't be going back and wouldn't recommend it.

My group of friends shared breakfast this morning (Sunday)at Urban Pantry in Manuka. This was the second time I had eaten at this restaurant and was happy to give them a second chance, however this was my final visit. The staff are lovely, but the food is so uninspiring and overpriced I couldnt believe they could charge the prices and produce the most mediocre food I have ever seen. Lift your game guys, Canberra diners are savy & will eventually wisen up.

Having eaten there a few times before, I was looking forward to today's lunch. Having been pestered no less than 6 times by different waiters to buy drinks without seeing a drinks menu, we finally got a menu. Talk about sticker shock! None of our previous favorites were there, just lots of recession food. Several pasta dishes, the usual fish and chips and chicken breast hyped up with flowery adjectives. All at sky high prices. Last week we had eaten in a couple of 2 hat restaurants in Sydney that didn't charge as much for mains. Deciding that nothing really looked exceptional, we went for the cheapest options, $30 pasta plates. Mine was supposed to be veal, but was more like chuck in overcooked tough stewed chunks and oversalted. The pasta was too al dente and sat in a swamp of nondescript sauce. You could actually taste the duck in my wife's dish which was otherwise bland and my son's marinara was the best but still ordinary. To cap it off we got hit with a Sunday surcharge and a charge on the credit card that added another $9 to an already expensive meal. Glad I hadn't got the usual BYO which would have set us back $21 for corkage. If they are going to charge as if they were a top hat restaurant would it possible to have the kitchen staff complete the illusion on the plate? Sorry, once was good, now off my list.

Amazing coffee. Always fast service, coffees can bit a little inconsistent. I get the feeling they are trying to compete with Una (fair enough) who's coffees are far too strong for my liking. Urban's milder blend was perfect. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. A+++ service.
