BAR 138 ON BARRACK
Perth, Western Australia

Conveniently located on Barrack Street, Bar 138 is the perfect place to wind down away from the busy streets of Perth. Bar 138 may look every bit like a bar, but ask for the menu and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. In addition to a full breakfast menu, simple pub grub with a twist reveals the chef's time spent in Kuala Lumpur with green chicken curry, Asian fish cakes and chicken satay sticks. Offering a spacious terrace as well as a private dining room, Bar 138 is ideal for functions and special occasions.

I absolutely love this place. It has a relaxed but well presented feel from the moment you walk in. The menu is simple and easy to understand and it's the only place ever that I have bought hot chips that weren't WAY to hot to eat. Thumbs up on that one. The $10 deals are awesome but mostly I love that they are trying to be a energy efficient and sustainable business. The new garden wall is well beyond impressive and I can't wait to taste something cooked with the produce. We will most definitely be back to this little treasure hidden on Barrack street.
