Lamaro's is a classy gastropub with a strong local following and warm, passionate service. The warm interior hosts a crowd of thirty-somethings and business people, who have mostly likely heard of the famous duck. Cooked szechuan style with pickled papaya, snake beans and caramel grapefruit dressing, it is about as good as duck can possibly come. Another favourite is the veal schnitzel with a mustard slaw - whatever you think about schnitzel is about to be turned on it's head. Every dish has a fresh, light touch which is the definition of contemporary done well and lets the produce speak for itself. Complimented by a compact, carefully considered wine list, Lamaro's is the kind of place that you'll just keep coming back to.
