THE TOWN MOUSE (CLOSED)
Melbourne, Victoria

Top10 Image
Deactivated. The Town Mouse has replaced former fine dining restaurant Embrasse, nestled just behind Lygon Street in Carlton. The Mouse offers a fine dining experience without the fussiness; the menu is inspired by modern European fare with a strong focus on share plates. The dishes are rich and matched with a selection of wines, many of which are organic or biodynamic.

Town Mouse is located in Drummond Street Carlton North, where once Embrasse thrilled punters with its fine dining. Maitre'd Christian McCabe and chef Dave Verheul have captured the imagination with unpretentious food full of technique and flair and top notch service. Slow roasted saltgrass lamb shoulder (900g), chargrilled cos, lemon, & tahini is one of the better presented and enjoyable lamb dishes in Melbourne.

An amazing food experience that everyone should go and try. The food is nothing like you could cook at home which is a big incentive to go and try this restaurant. The staff are approachable, experienced, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the wine and food. A lovely place to relax and meet friends, not stuffy, no limits placed on you to leave.
