Melbourne, Victoria

Mesa Greek Cuisine has certainly made its mark on locals. And not only because of the bright deep blue lights that illuminate the huge two-story restaurant at night. Inside, the fit-out is modern but the menu on offer showcases all the traditional taverna delights of Greece.

Had a Birthday Party in January at Mesa, food was amazing with traditional flavors. Service with a smile, would like to thank Tony the manager and his staff for looking after us and will be back soon. Mesa is one of few Greek restaurants with stylish decor.

Never come across more arrogant wait staff in my life. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone ever. The food was nothing to write home about, in fact I think I could cook most of it better. What really, and I mean, really, annoyed me to the point that I should have walked out was when my dining partner sent back the fish because it was overcooked and not the type of fish they requested. A waiter came over and said, "we don't send food back here and you eat what you order!" totally disgraceful behaviour. Furthermore, he proceeded to tell us we held up the waitress for half an hour when ordering, I'm sorry I didn't know keeping the waitress for no more than ten minutes whilst asking what's what on the menu was not allowed in an empty restaurant. We should have got up and left then and there, never been more angered or insulted in my life. I had per-ordered my desert and cat least waited to enjoy some fab Lokoumades but was bitterly disappointed! They were really hard and the honey, well, wasn't honey but disgusting syrup!
