Top10 Victoria’s best winery restaurants, reopening after lockdown

After more than 100 days in lockdown, Victorian restaurants are slowly opening. With the warmer weather, it is now time to embrace the fabulous regional winery restaurants, ten of which we have listed below . Our Top 10 Victorian wineries encapsulate the best vineyard dining experiences from the scenic Yarra Valley to Rutherglen and in between. Please book in advance as many of the restaurants have limited numbers.

Overlooking the De Bortoli vineyard, Locale embraces its proud Italian heritage. Home made pasta and authentically cooked risotto are the menu mainstays while the sauces and ingredients that go with them change depending on the time of year. All restaurant bookings must be pre-booked, reopening on the 31st October.
Surrounded by the vineyard, olive grove and farm, Red Hill offers a unique experience. Guests come to enjoy tapas and wine in a relaxed environment. With three sittings daily, bookings are essential.
With amended opening times, (open for lunch only from Thursday to Sunday), Cups Estate is back and better than ever. The menu takes inspiration from Sicily, with dishes designed to be shared.
One of Victoria’s most esteemed fine dining restaurants, Laura promises a story of the Mornington Peninsula, on a plate. Diners can choose from two- or three-courses. Reopening from Monday November 2, 2020, for lunch 7 days from 12pm, and dinner Thursday to Sunday from 6pm.
Reopening on November 5th, on the outskirts of Warragul, Hogget offers an elegant dining experience where ingredients speak for themselves and the hospitality is warm and convivial. Sitting times have now been introduced to bookings.
Now here’s a great excuse to book a few nights away. The award winning Doot Doot Doot restaurant will reopen on Monday 9th November, however due to current restrictions, they will only accommodate hotel guests.
The big reopening day for Oakridge in Coldstream is Thursday 19th November. Serving lunch Thursday to Sunday with two sittings for both lunch and dinner. A set four-course menu won’t disappoint.
In Victoria’s North Eastern wine region, Chrismont celebrates Sicilian and northern Italian cultures. Traditional, family favourites adorn the lunch menu, available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Reopening on the 9th October.
