The Coal River Valley produces some of Australia’s finest wines and the Pooleys are one of its longest-established winegrowers. Operating since 1985, Pooley’s has been producing top cool-climate wines including Pinot Noir and Riesling at both the Cooinda Vale Vineyard and Belmont Vineyards in southern Tasmania. The Belmont Lodge is a heritage-listed Georgian property on the outskirts of Richmond, with vines growing on nearby Butchers Hill. The cellar door is housed in old sandstone stables, which make the perfect backdrop of weddings and special events.
