1877 takes its name from the year of construction of this gorgeous brick and timber edifice. The heritage-listed building has been transformed into a warm yet sophisticated space whilst retaining its Victorian charm, featuring an original fireplace and outdoor terrace. The restaurant has been decorated with a contemporary edge, comprising chic black leather dining chairs and crisp white tablecloths.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Authentic Italian recipes are the specialty at 1877, courtesy of its owners the Sfera family who are originally from Campania. Guests can expect to dine pasta dishes such as cavatelli with zucchini, spring onions, crispy pancetta, garlic, parmesan, olive oil, and a hint of chilli, or secondi of ossobuco alla milanese. Sweet tooths will revel in an affogato of home made baileys and scorched almond ice cream served with Frangelico and espresso coffee, while wine connoisseurs can peruse the extensive list featuring domestic and international drops.
