Absolute Stunner - 28/04/2012
We arrived on the Sunshine Coast 6 months ago, since that time we have only found local restaurants that are just average, nothing stood out. Arnica CHANGED all that!!!!!
Our degustation menu started with a stunning scallop dish, just delightful and beautifully favored. That set the tone for the rest of the night, along with some seriously stunning service from the Maitre'd. A lovely light Tuna dish was next, followed by Red Emperor and Garlic Prawn dish. We drank a wonderful French chablis with these 3 dishes. All the dishes were full of favor from the wonderful sauces. Our 4th dish was sliced Roast Beef, again just beautifully cooked with spot on wonderful presentation. To accompany the dish, we drank a lovely Australian Shiraz.
To cap the night off we were presented with a wonderful Chocolate Souffle.
We arrived at 6pm, left at 11pm, after having desert, and after dinner drinks. We thought our meal was so wonderfully cooked, served and presented, we just had to meet the Chef/Owner, who has spent years cooking in Sweden and Europe. Michael is a Michelin Star trained chef and it shows in everything he presented to us that night. Sean, the Maitre'd is just your classic consuminate professional, nothing was too much bother and everything was done with passion. We just loved the way Sean made our cold wet night into a night that we will remember forever.
We've dined at a number of Queensland's top restaurants including Aria, Arnica knocks them off with stunningly efficient superbly presented food.
