DAVE P - 13/01/2015
We went to Absynthe and sampled the degustation menu. We were very excited about the entire experience, but unfortunately we left a little underwhelmed. The food was good but not as spectacular as we had imagined it would be. There were a few standout courses, but others offered a little too much style over substance. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt clinical, although having said that, we were there quite early. The staff, although mostly friendly, were also a little uptight. Overall the experience was fair, but I can't be sure that I would return.
