TEDDER & WOODROFFE (CLOSED)
Gold Coast, Queensland

Top10 Image
The Gold Coast's Tedder Avenue has its share of stylish restaurants but few do contemporary dining like Tedder & Woodroffe. The pared-back dining room is a masterclass in beach-chic, which is appropriate, given the restaurant's view to the heart of Main Beach. The quirky tongue-in-cheek menu is wide-ranging and interesting, as are the bar snacks, which should be accompanied by a sample of T&W's extensive wine list.

We had High Tea there on Friday afternoon, food was excellent. Staff very nice, BUT we were not offered tea, or coffee - isn't that what High Tea is all about??? Would visit again but it seem one has to ask for either of those drinks.

I have dined here on several occasions now and each time it has been a wonderful epicurean experience. The menu is small but varied and what is served to you is aromatic, flavourful and a delight to the palate. I always make sure I take the time and come at least once whilst staying on the Gold Coast. This time I was only up for two days but still made sure I had at least one meal here. The service is wonderful with happy but unobtrusive waiters. Would recommend.
