Kirra6 - 7/04/2015
I have been to Beaches at KIrra Surf with my family of 6 on many occasions over the past years and have always found the food and service to be reasonable which is why we have been regular patrons. On our most recent visit this evening the food standard has apparently been lowered considerably. My pasta dish was the equivalent of a jar of Dolmio's sauce poured over cold pasta (with apologies to Dolmio's as their product tastes far superior). After what seemed to be an unreasonable wait our meals finally arrived - two of us had ordered the same pasta dishes -one arrived with parmesan cheese , the other without. The 'neapolitan ' sauce was thick, dark ,extremely salty but otherwise lacking in flavour. As we were very hungry after a long day with little food I was determined to eat the meal regardless but after struggling for a while we asked if some parmesan cheese could be provided to make it at least palatable. After 3 requests and 10 minutes a small dish of probably less than 2grams of finely grated cheese was finally delivered. To our great surprise at the point of payment we had been charged an additional dollar for the 'extra' cheese when no cheese had been provided in the first place. I understand the business has recently changed hands but if this is the standard which will be offered then I would strongly advise other diners to steer well clear of this now second rate establishment. VERY DISAPPOINTING !
