ON THE INLET
Cairns and Tropical North, Queensland

Top10 Image
On The Inlet Seafood Restaurant is located on the waterfront of Dickson Inlet at Port Douglas and its unique al fresco dining room offers stunning views across the Coral Sea and out to the Mossman Ranges and the Daintree National Park. The kitchen specialises in preparing a range of seafood, but many locals dine here just for the experience of choosing a live mud crab from the seafood tank.

My husband and I visited Port Douglas for relaxing break. On our way back in form a day on the reef, we spotted a lovely crowd at this waterfront restaurant and bar, so wandered up after disembarking from our trip. What a delight! They host Sunset Specials each afternoon, and entertain the crowd by feeding their resident giant groper. It was fantastic fun! We couldn't tear ourselves away, and stayed for pre-dinner drinks and a fantastic seafood dinner all without going back to our hotel to get changed to go out! A truly memorable and highly recommended destination-food, drinks and service were the best we experienced in town.

Wow! What an experience. The Internet pic's just don't justify the magnificence of this hidden gem of a restaurant . The food....mmm mmmm! Magnificent. The views, at sun set, what can I say! Breath taking. The staff... Very hospitable. Friendly and happy to cater to every request, even taking photos for us
