PROFILE BY BEST RESTAURANTS
Some Sydney-siders might regard Darling Harbour as somewhat of a tourist trap, but with its glittering waterside location and abundance of restaurants it's easy to see why visitors and locals alike are drawn to drink, dine and play down by the water. Cockle Bay Wharf is home to a fabulous collection of eateries, with Baia THE ITALIAN being one of the best when it comes to easy-to-eat fare that's great value for money. The views across the water towards Pyrmont are hard to beat, though the menu of modern Italian favourites certainly gives it its best shot.
The dining area runs right through to the waterside balcony overlooking Darling Harbour. It's hard to forget you're in an Italian restaurant; there is a definite Ferrari theme inside and the friendly staff buzz about in the electric blue stripes of the Italian national soccer team.
