Featuring a modern Australian menu with European influences, Head Chef Kristian Gamble uses only the freshest seasonal produce to create simple flavoursome dishes. Guests have a good selection of share plates, pasta or more substantial main dishes that reflect the seasons.

So happy to have selected this restaurant to host my 60th birthday lunch! I wanted to celebrate this millstone at a restaurant on the harbour in my old hometown with my family & close friends & Sydney - you outshone all my expectations! From my first enquiry to the seemingly effortless service & hospitality on the day, you made this celebratory experience one to remember. Superb historic location surrounded by fantastic harbour views, pristine bushland away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Sydney & a group food & beverage package that offered an excellent choice of delicious meals & beverages that simply flowed, in quality & quantity. Tip:- use the water taxi, so convenient & avoid parking & driving.

Looking for the perfect venue with great food and only the best service?? Ripples at Chowder Bay is you best bet! Wanting somewhere special for my Mothers 50th Birthday Celebration lunch I could not be happier with our choice of Ripples. From the first phone call organising the booking, the staff were extremely friendly in assisting our requests right through to the end of our relaxing afternoon where we were not hurried to leave the restaurant. The Garlic and Rosemary bread is a must have, with all 10 of us quick to order a second round. All ordering different dishes from their extensive menu the staff were extremely quick and efficient. The views and atmosphere are only part of the great Ripples experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone!

We had lunch at Ripples at Chowder Bay today and had a lovely lunch. The food was a high quality and well presented, and the service was excellent. We couldn't have wanted for a better place to celebrate my father's 75th birthday.

I just love the whole experience of Ripples at Chowder Bay-walking across the beach to the restaurant (you can go via the road as well) the beautiful big relaxed deck with magnificent views or the lovely heritage building if you prefer inside. I had a birthday dinner there recently with 10 friends. Most of us started with the very fresh scallops with pea puree mint and pancetta. For mains, we had veal saltimbocca with parsley and lemon butter-just the right amount of tang, confit of duck with sour cherry jus; Spanish mackerel, all excellent and I love the crispy baked rosemary potatoes. The passionfruit dessert with coconut biscotti was rich and creamy. We went BYO and the bill was just over $600 for 11 of us which I think is good value. The staff were attentive and did not get huffy when we were the last to leave.
