We went there for a Saturday lunch in the pouring and had one of the best meals. I'm a coeliac and had a fantastic gluten free deep fried calamari followed by the best slow cook lamb. The service was excellent and the decor fabulous, we drove from Mosman as my son had a rugby game in cronulla. Best idea we had all weekend would recommend it as great restaurant!

I took my parents there for their wedding anniversary. I booked 5 months in advance and they could only fit us in for a 8pm sitting. That wasn't an issue, but when you are eating your entre at 9pm and your mains at 10pm, you start getting a little hungry. The service was not good, the wait staff were rude. The food, I had the salt and pepper calamari which was inedible because it was SO salty. I thought it might have just been me but 6 others tried it and all said the same thing. My partners risotto was cold, the pork belly were 3 small pieces on a plate. The champagne was flat and the waiter was angry because I asked for a fresh bottle.
The bill came and it was so expensive. We dont mind paying big money for good food, but this was not the case.
Overall, our experience was terrible and turned a night that we wanted to celebrate and remember into a downer. We all love our food and would have been much happier eating at Subway than The Old Library.

My daughter took me there for a bite to eat over the weekend and I must say it was lovely. I really like what they have done with the place and the food was a treat – perfect portion sizes for a light lunch. I especially liked the waitresses, they were helpful and very friendly, which made the whole experience great.
