Elizabeth's at Mount Pleasant Winery was established in 1997. The cafe has a philosophy of serving good food to compliment the vast range of wines offered by McWilliams Mount Pleasant. To achieve this, each of the dishes offered at Elizabeth's Cafe has been designed around the wines from the bread to the desserts. With dining available on the verandah, courtyard and inside, there is also the O'Shea room which seats up to 20 guests for a private lunch or dinner.
Elizabeth's Cafe is also available for private dinners, corporate functions and weddings, with two rooms available for 10 to 140 guests until midnight with no room hire charge. Lovedale Room, named after the award winning Lovedale semillon vineyard, seats up to 140 on tables of 10, and is fully air conditioned for comfort, as well as an open fireplace for atmosphere during the winter months. The O'Shea room was named after Maurice O'Shea, winemaker at Mount Pleasant from 1921-1956. The room seats 20 around a large polished wooden table surrounded by a collection of past and present vintages, watched over by the late Maurice O'Shea himself. The O'Shea room is available on request for both lunch and dinner groups. The verandah and courtyard is the ideal place for pre-dinner drinks.
