A ploughman's plate with crusty bread, cheddar cheese, leg ham, cornichons, tomato relish and seeded mustard is the perfect thing to pick at with a glass of your favourite Hunter Valley wine, or bottle selected from the extensive cellar. Come dinner, the restaurant serves refined Modern Australian fare. Dine on the likes of confit baby beetroot with house-made labne or scallops with honeyed pumpkin butter to start, before tucking into a generous main of tender lamb backstrap with gruyere crockets or pan fried duck breast with du puy lentils. Various cuts of steak, from eye fillet to waygu rump, are all served medium-rare with your choice of sauce. Finish with a Hunter Valley cheese plate and a glass of sticky.
