Honto

Located down a backstreet in Fortitude Valley, Honto is a dimly lit Japanese restaurant with a creative and contemporary menu. Once you find the entrance (hint: it’s adjacent to a massive Matt Blatt sign), inside you’ll discover an open kitchen, a bar, a raw dining counter and a beautiful main dining room complete with hanging chandeliers. The menu draws on traditional Japanese dishes using local ingredients, reimagined to create exciting dishes with flair. The wine list features over 130 bottles and there’s an impressive selection of sakes and whisky.
