Bartolo

On Crown Street in Surry Hills, Bartolo is an all-day Italian eatery. Named after owner Jared Merlino’s great-grandfather, the restaurant’s décor pays tribute to his Italian heritage. By day, Bartolo is abuzz with a mix of locals grabbing a coffee on their way to work and those out for a relaxed long lunch or perhaps, adopting a very Sicilian approach, grabbing a takeaway coffee granita and brioche. At nightfall, the cozy space becomes a bistro and cocktail bar, delivering homemade pasta, gnocci and Nan’s veal and pork meatballs.
