Flinders Island Food and Crayfish Festival

Two of Australia's most popular chefs, restauranteurs, authors and TV presenters Karen Martini and Tobie Puttock will be headline the Flinders Island Food & Crayfish Festival. They will be hosting a cooking demonstration at the Friday Food Feast on 17 April at the showground, creating and sharing dishes with the audience that have been inspired by local food and people.

Visitors and locals are being invited to join the following events:
*The Flinders Island Aboriginal Association is holding a long table lunch at the Furneaux Tavern in Lady Barron on Saturday 18 April to celebrate the island's long history with food, music and culture.
*Visit Fureneaux Distillery for world-class whiskies and the Butter Factory Boys and Unavale Vineyard for wine tastings.
*Indulge in a degustation lunch on Wednesday 15 April at Wendy Jubb Stoney's Flinders Island Gourmet Retreat whilst enjoying the sea views (maybe stay a night or two)!
*Furneaux Tavern at Lady Barron on Saturday 18 April will present an unforgettable long table lunch with top Australian chefs Jesse McTavish and Scott Stevenson to create a menu featuring native ingredients and local bush tucker that you can only get in Bass Strait.
