The Crookwell Potato Festival celebrates over 150 years of growing potatoes high on the Southern Tableland of NSW.Throughout the 20th century up until today, Crookwell has played an important role in the development of new varieties, farming practices and technologies. Today there are twenty varieties of seed potato grown in the Crookwell district and the Crookwell Potato Festival will celebrate the area's long standing relationship with the humble ‘spud'.Events include street parades, live music potato cooking demos, markets and farm experiences.Crookwell is located on the top of the range in the beautiful Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. Just an hour and half north of Canberra via Gundaroo and Gunning and under 3 hours from Sydney via Goulburn, Crookwell is ideally situated on the road between the Orange / Bathurst region and Goulburn.
