Luiza Gomes's Profile

Luiza Gomes is the head chef of the North Sydney restaurant Brasil by the Kilo. This family-style eatery is the product of Sails on Lavender Bay co-owner Greg Anderson and his Brazilian wife Patricia Nunes.

Gomes has worked in some of the best kitchens in Sao Paulo and Salvador in Brazil and has now brought her talents to Australia. While she cooks food from all over Brazil, Luiza specialises in dishes from Bahia in the North East of Brazil, which has strong West African influences.
