PATA NEGRA
Perth, WA

At Pata Negra, Morocco meets Marbella in eclectic style. The restaurant serves tapas that will delight diners with its sheer authenticity and quality. The menu runs deep with Moorish and Middle Eastern influence and the wine list showcases a broad range of Spanish titles. Pata Negra's kitsch decor says it doesn't take itself too seriously; plonk yourself down on a yellow vinyl chair and get ready for a great night out with friends.

PROFILE BY BEST RESTAURANTS
Dark and retro in look and Spanish in feel, Pata Negra successfully combines the matching of Iberian influences with Middle Eastern mood. A heady mix of amber-coloured glass against charcoal-coloured walls prepares you for an intoxicating assault on the senses which leaves you wanting more. David Coomer, owner and chef of award winning restaurant Star Anise, has propelled his versatility into another part of the culinary world. Together with head chef Kurt Sampson, the menu echoes Moorish influences combined with Middle Eastern flair that stems from Kurt's work with Greg Malouf of Momo's fame.
