FOOD AND BEVERAGE The food itself follows a similar philosophy of old traditions overlaid with contemporary touches. Osteria’s young talented chefs offer an alluring menu of Tuscan classics and imaginative reinterpretations.
Highlights from the kitchen include the starter of Duck breast carpaccio with spinach and corzano ricotta foam, and the delectable main course of Baby octopus and gurnard soup with chickpeas and mustard seed bread. The innovative dessert menu offers one dish per colour of the rainbow, including the ‘Green’ choice of Mint and chocolate ‘panna cotta’ with pistachio ice cream and kiwi salad. Tasting menus (with or without wine) offer a mouth-watering procession of seasonal plates. Of particular note is the restaurant’s extensive wine selection and famously helpful and accommodating sommelier.
The Restaurant Osteria di Passignano is open daily except Sunday,
from 12.15 pm to 2.15 pm and from 7.30 pm to 10 pm. It will be closed for winter holidays from November 28th until December 5th and from January 9th until February 7th 2011.
