DETAILSBent on Food Cookery School offers a wide variety of classes to suit everyone, weekdays, evenings and weekends. Special classes for private groups, children, community organisations and corporate groups can also be arranged. Classes include single day Italian themed workshops, bread making at home, men in the kitchen, bent on kids paddock to plate, and the famous cheesemaking workshops, which take place four times a year.
Cheesemaking WorkshopsLearn the art of cheesemaking under the guiding hand of one of Australia's best-known cheesemakers Carole Willman. You can participate in single day or weekend workshops, but two days are definitely recommended. Each day you will make a different cheese be it gorgonzola and stilton style, a firm blue or quarg and ricotta. Morning tea is provided as well as lunch and there are cheese tastings throughout the day.
Men in the KitchenBent on Food offers men-only cooking classes, which have always been very popular. Learn how to make a great curry of Thai-inspired flavours, which you will enjoy with a glass of match wine after class.
Bent on Kids Paddock to PlateThese classes provide a fantastic opportunity for kids to get into the kitchen and learn how to create healthy meals using local produce. Kids will get to visit a local farm where they will meet the animals and learn how to use fresh ingredients, and where they come from. All workshops are hands-on, and recipes are provided for the children to take home. There are gnocchi and cupcake workshops available for kids as well.
