The original Ottolenghi store at Notting Hill specialises in tantalizing pastries and savoury dishes to take home. Although there is a small 10-seater table out the back, the no reservation policy means it’s pretty difficult to score one of the coveted seats. But trust me when I say, you wont leave feeling disappointed. Ottolenghi’s food is inventive, yet authentic, direct and unpretentious. If you like your Mediterranean food rich and a little spicy – this is the place for you. With a flourless chocolate tea-cake in one hand and a buttery croissant in the other, you’ll walk out the door with a sugar-spiced grin from ear to ear.
