DETAILSThe contemporary restaurant aesthetic by Japanese design studio Design Post is seemingly stylish, yet not over pretentious. The white linen-set tables are strategically positioned on a sweeping midnight-blue carpeted floor, and surrounded by dark wooden chairs. There is also banquet seating towards one end of the room upholstered in lush fabric. Ornate pendant light fixtures hang elegantly from the mirrored ceiling, whilst impressive glass windows fill the room with bright natural light.
FOOD & BEVERAGEChef Umberto Bombana loves Italy and he often uses his dishes and recipes to tell a love story amongst the ingredients on the plate and to showcase the bounties of his country. Moreover his seasonal menus are beautifully presented, and abundant in flavour with dishes like tajima short rib and beef tenderloin in a red wine and plum sauce with whipped potato, as well as homemade tagliolini with boston lobster, bottarga, rucola and sweet peppers. Towards the dolci end of the menu a dish of warm coffee tart and crunchy coffee ice-cream is an indulgent treat worth waiting for. There is also an ageing cellar on site, which showcases world-class hams and cheeses that can be prepared on a platter for your table upon request. A spacious walk-in wine cellar is another eye-catching feature that displays over 2000 bottles of wine from both the old and new world.
FUNCTIONSOverlooking the famous bustling street view of Chater Road, the spacious main dining room can accommodate up to 55 people, while the two delightfully-decorated private dining rooms can sit 12 guests each, and are perfect for intimate functions.
